Adcasal belongs to the parish of Celavisa, municipality of Arganil, district of Coimbra.
It is located about 1 km from Alto da Mimosa, famous for the passage of the Rally of Portugal.
In addition to the parish seat there are also seven villages: Adcasal, Caratão, Jurjais, Linhares, Pracerias, Sequeiros and Travessas.

Adcasal belongs to the municipality of Arganil, which is one of the most exceptional municipalities in the Center region, with imposing landscapes, centuries-old villages, namely the Schist Villages and nature reserves, where no one is indifferent.
Arganil, located in the district of Coimbra, is a mountainous municipality, bathed by the rivers Alva and Ceira, both integrated in the Mondego hydrographic basin, and situated between the Serra da Lousã and the Serra do Açor.
With natural swimming pools and lovely river beaches, such as the River Beach of Coja, River Beach of Piódão, River Beach of Pomares, River Beach of Benfeita, River Beach of Barril de Alva, among other beautiful leisure areas.

As a backdrop a diversified and predominantly schist forest area, adorned by a flora composed of oaks, chestnut trees, strawberry trees, and coniferous species.
The existing vegetation cover in the Protected Area of Serra do Açor, part of the Network of Biogenetic Reserves of the Municipality of Europe and a Site of Community Interest due to its unparalleled natural value, is predominantly composed of oak, strawberry tree, hazel, cherry, honeysuckle, martagon and heather, whose pollen serves to flavor the tasty honey of Serra do Açor.
In addition to the opulent natural heritage, its monumental heritage is equally rich and diverse. Architecturally, the Archaeological Station of Lomba do Canho stands out, where there are traces of Neolithic and Roman occupations in this region and the Historical Village of Piódão, with the recognized schist houses and classified as "Property of Public Interest", the great ex-libris of Beira Serra.
In addition to this heritage, it is also worth highlighting the remarkable religious architecture scattered throughout the municipality, namely the Chapel of S. Pedro, the oldest monument of the municipality. Pedro, the oldest monument in the county dating from the 13th century and classified as a National Monument since 1931, the Mont'alto Sanctuary built in the 16th century and which has an incomparable and wide view, covering the valley of the Alva River, the foothills of the Serra do Açor and the fields extended to the Beira road, the Mother Church of Pombeiro da Beira, with the lying statue of Mateus da Cunha; the Convent of Santo António in Vila Cova do Alva; the Monastery of Folques, among other architectural works of incalculable value.
